I’m Attempting To Release A New Track EVERY WEEK in 2026

Will I Be Able To Do It?

So, as we near the end of January 2026, anyone that follows me on Spotify or on my socials like TikTok or Instagram may’ve noticed that I have been releasing a new song every Thursday. Why? Well I set myself a challenge.

The story begins 18 months ago when I had to delete Ableton (my DAW – the program used to produce music) from my ‘work’ computer as the memory was almost full and, sadly, even though that machine was / is great for my radio work, it wouldn’t even install Ableton 12 as the Ram was insufficient. I needed a new computer just for Ableton and my music production, these toys ain’t cheap. So I started saving and it took over a year to get the money together for the spec I wanted.

During this time though, I continued writing songs, lots of songs. Then, when the new computer arrived, I re-installed Ableton and all the plugins and project files and samples from the old machine – which took 2 days!

I started producing the songs I’d written, including ‘Don’t Make Me Cry’ which actually reached Number 7 in the UK Club Chart. The song after that (We Talk All Night) was written with a singer I’ve used before in mind so once the song was produced and the demo made, I sent it to her. Her name is Victoria and I’d found her originally on Fiverr. However, she’s now the Principal Musician for Norwegian Cruise Lines, so even though she’d said she’d like to do the song with me, in the end she didn’t have the time. During the waiting time, I was still producing the songs I’d already written. I reached out to another singer I’d used before from Fiverr. She did a great job and the turn-around was only a week. ‘We Talk All Night’ was released on December 18, 2025.

By I now had a bunch of songs finished and on my Hard Drive – which is no good to anyone. So I decided to set myself a new challenge in 2026, to release a track every week, starting on January 1. That song was ‘Friends For Life’ – then on Jan 8 ‘Will I Ever Love Again?’ – followed by ‘Looking For Connection’ on Jan 15 – and coming out tomorrow is a track called ‘I’ll Remember’ and to round off the month, already uploaded to Spotify etc is ‘You’re Dialling Up My Interest’ which comes out on Jan 29.
