I was making a new dance track but realised that two of the notes in the melody I’d written sounded very “James Bond Theme Song-esque” so I swapped out the piano sound on these notes for a growly brass stab sound. I then decided to scrap the dance track altogether and proceeded with a full blown James Bond Fan Theme Song instead. ‘You’ll Die Alone’ is the result. I’m a huge fan of Bond themes, my ‘James Bond Greatest Hits’ album has been played on repeat on many occasions.
Victoria Ponisio’s vocals are perfect on this track and when I first heard her belt out the last line in the song, the hairs on the back of my neck stood up.
I commisioned a dancer and a very clever video editor and broke all the rules by uploading the resulting video to YouTube before releasing the track to Spotify/Apple etc.
The track will get a general release on Friday March 10, 2023, I hope you enjoy the track and the video.
