Finally back home after 2 and a half months of staying in various hotels in the area after the fire in an apartment in the block where I live. The fire was in an apartment 3 floors below mine but the smoke damage to my apartment was terrible.
Unfortunately my studio computers for both my radio work and my music production are still needing repairs and servicing, just to be on the safe side.
I’ve been running Radio One Mallorca on my laptop via my phone as a wifi hotspot, not ideal but it worked.
It’s been a stressful time for all of us affected by the fire and my thoughts are with the families of the 3 people that tragically lost their lives due to the toxic smoke that engulfed the whole block.
My apartment is being redecorated, there are still workmen in the place every day as the work continues. My new bed, microwave and air fryer arrive today and a new fridge freezer is due next Monday. Once my computers are cleaned and serviced I hope my life will return to normal. I’ve really missed my production work, I’m gutted that my plan to release a new song every week failed. I’ll be back to producing new music as soon as I can.
